Richard Feynman admits he is uncomfortable being a Nobel Prize winner. He says this dislike of honours came from his father, and recalls how it developed as a schoolboy when he was put in a club for students with good grades. Young Feynman did not enjoy having to decide who else was worthy to join this club. He says he doesn’t understand the purpose of Nobel prize as he already has the real prize - the pleasure of finding the thing out.
