Connor Phillips hosts a gala concert from the Waterfront Hall. The Ulster Orchestra and artists such as Foy Vance, Brooke Scullion and Saint Sister come together as the Freedom of the City of Belfast is bestowed upon key workers during the pandemic.
Personal testimony from nurses, postal and transport workers illustrate how music was important to their coping during lockdown.
Musical highlights also include Ryan McMullan performing his song Belfast City with the Ulster Orchestra and a new arrangement of David Holmes's remix of the classic Belfast by Orbital. The Open Arts Community Choir join with the NHS Here4U Choir, while JC Stewart covers Elbow’s iconic One Day Like This.
