The story of East Belfast GAA, the first Gaelic club in East Belfast for many years, as the club plays through its first full year.

The story of East Belfast GAA during their first full year of play. They are the first Gaelic club in this part of the city for many years, and we learn how it began with a single tweet in May 2020, inviting people from all backgrounds, beliefs and abilities to join up. The first members explain how the club was built from scratch, unlike most GAA clubs that have been at the heart of parishes and families for generations. From training sessions to games, from victory celebrations to defeats, this documentary gives a rich insight into the cross-community club, which has introduced many people to a new outlook on life. With reflections on modern-day Belfast as a place of acceptance, diversity and opportunity, Le Chéile portrays the beginning of an inspiring journey for the community of East Belfast GAA.

Scéal CLG Oirthear Bhéal Feirste sa chéad bhliain iomlán imeartha acu. Is é an chéad chlub CLG é sa pháirt seo den chathair le blianta fada. Foghlaimíonn muid faoin dóigh ar cuireadh tús leis an chlub le tvuít amháin i mí na Bealtaine 2020, a chuir fáilte roimh bhaill úra ó gach creideamh, cultúr agus claonadh polaitiúil. Míoníonn na chéad bhaill an dóigh ar tógadh an club ón bhonn aníos, murab ionann agus formhór na gclubanna CLG eile timpeall na tíre, ar chodanna lárnacha iad de pharóistí agus de theaghlaigh leis na glúnta. Ó sheisiúin traenála go cluichí, ó cheiliúradh go briseadh croí, tugtar léargas saibhir ar chlub trasphobail, club a bhfuil dearcadh úr ar an tsaol tugtha aige do go leor. Agus iad ag meabhrú ar Bhéal Feirste an lae inniu mar áit oscailte, ilghnéitheach, dóchasach, léiríonn Le Chéile na chéad chéimeanna ar thuras inspioráideach phobal CLG Oirthear Bhéal Feirste.
