Blindboy, The Shires and live music from Be Charlotte

Blindboy talks about his upcoming live podcast recording with Limmy, Be Charlotte performs live, and Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly talk about their soundtrack for film Our Ladies.

Janice will be chatting to The Shires – the UK's best-selling country act on the release of their new album and forthcoming tour.

Actor, comedian and panto partner to Andy Gray and our very own Grant Stott, Allan Stewart is celebrating 60 years in showbiz and ahead of his variety show, he pops into tell Janice just some of the stories from the past 60 years.

Also on Monday’s show is podcast host Blindboy of the Rubberbandits, who will be coming to Glasgow for a live podcast with guest Limmy. The Blindboy Podcast is an eclectic podcast containing short fiction, interviews and comedy.

Be Charlotte will be performing live in the studio and chatting about running events with female artists in Scotland. Also taking part in the discussion will be actor and comedian Keira Murphy and Kathryn Dryburgh and Hannah Campbell from Glasgow-based events company Queens of Noise.

The comedy drama, Our Ladies was premiered in Scotland at the Glasgow Film Festival and will be released in April. Adapted from Alan Warner’s novel, The Sopranos, the soundtrack to the film was written and composed by ±«Óătv Radio Scotland’s Roddy Hart and his creative partner Tommy Reilly. Roddy and Tommy tell Janice about this project.

We hear about the challenges and interesting stories that are part of putting on the Iranian Film Festival Festival which is taking place in Edinburgh’s Filmhouse this week. Festival founder Sara Kheradmand tells us all about the Festival, and the director of Finding Farideh Kourosh Ataee tells us all about his film.
