Director Ben Wheatley discusses Free Fire, a Boston-set, 70s 'shootout feature' starring Brie Larson and Cillian Murphy

Janice Forsyth discusses Free Fire - set in 70s Boston and starring Brie Larson and Cillian Murphy - with the film's director, Ben Wheatley.

It's Film Day, we'll review the much anticipated Free Fire: a Boston-set, 70's 'shootout feature' starring Brie Larson, Arnie Hammer, and Cillian Murphy - and hear from the director of the film himself, Ben Wheatley.

Regular Critics, Alistair Harkness & Neil Hepburn will share their thoughts on it, and on this week's other big cinema releases: including Ghost in the Shell, featuring Scarlett Johansson; its a live-action Japanese manga adaptation, and Graduation: Cannes Best Director winner, Cristian Mungiu returns with this, a powerful and universal study about the imprecision of parenthood, the relativity of truth and the ambiguity of compromise!

Later in the show, we'll hear from Carnoustie's very own VIP Piper, Craig Weir - discussing his new single HIGHLAND ROAD (with new band THE CABALISTIC CAVALRY) and discuss ANITA AND ME - currently on at The Kings in Edinburgh, it's a musical adapted from the much loved book by Meera Syal.

We'll be joined by cast members Aasiya Shah who plays the lead role, Meena - the semi-autobiographical Meera Syal, and Laura Aramayo who plays Anita - Meena's best friend!

All that and much more, from two o'clock on Thursday, here on ±«Óãtv Radio Scotland
