The cast of 鲍鱼tv One's hugely popular sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys are preparing to tour the UK with the show Good Mourning Mrs Brown where audiences see Agnes Brown planning Granddad's funeral. Just one problem....granddad isn't dead! The tour kicks off tonight in Glasgow and Paddy Houlihan, who plays Dermot in the show calls the studio to give us a behind the scenes update.

Heroine, written by Scottish-trained, LA-based actor Mary Jane Wells, is a one woman show exposing the growing problem of sexual assault in the American armed forces. Based on the true story of her friend Danna Davis, Mary Jane tells Janice how the show came about.

We hear from Stuart McQuarrie, the actor tasked with representing the voice of Caledonia in My Country: A Work in Progress, a play created by the National Theatre as a response to Brexit, based on testimonies from real people across the UK.

Janice talks to the creators of a new graphic novel The Little Mermaid, the Eisner award nominated duo Metaphrog (Sandra Marrs and John Chalmers), winners of the Sunday Herald Scottish Culture Awards Best Visual Artist 2016.

We find out about the double-bill of Bluebeard's Castle by B茅la Bart贸k and the world premiere of The 8th Door, a devised work co-created by leading theatre director, Matthew Lenton - Artistic Director of Vanishing Point - and Scottish Opera Composer in Residence Lliam Paterson. Matthew and actress Elicia Daly will be in studio to explain this unusual approach to opera.

And as the Edinburgh International Science Festival starts at the weekend, artists Lily Hibberd and Hannah Imlach take a break from installing their respective art exhibitions at the festival, which take cutting edge scientific research and reinterpret it as visual art, sound installations and sculpture.
