John Toal presents the Ulster Orchestra's official 50th Birthday Gala Concert live from the Ulster Hall. He will introduce some of the best-loved classical music by Mozart, Rossini and Beethoven, conducted by the Orchestra's Principal Conductor, Raphael Payare.

Pianist Barry Douglas will join in the celebrations with a performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1 - the piece which thrust him into stardom at the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in 1986.

During the interval, we will hear the results of John's tour with the Orchestra across 50 concerts in one day as part of the 50th birthday celebrations.
