Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce and Pearl Jam perform in Central Park, New York, at the Global Citizen Festival.

The festival, on Saturday 26 September, is timed to coincide with the launch of the United Nations' new Global Goals, which are designed to fight inequality, protect our planet and end extreme poverty by 2030.

One of the key people behind the concert is Richard Curtis, who is well known for Blackadder, Love Actually and his work with Comic Relief. The Global Goals carry the promise of equal rights and opportunity for all men and women, the promise to live a healthy and dignified life, and the promise for every child to survive and to thrive.
