Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. We hear 'Love Train' by The O'Jays to mark the induction of songwriting team Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff. We also feature 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' by Hall of Fame member Marvin Gaye. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1946 of Loudon Wainwright III with his US hit 'Dead Skunk'. Paul pays tribute to record producer Bob Johnston, who has recently died, by playing 'Just Like A Woman' by Bob Dylan from one of Johnston's most significant album productions 'Blonde On Blonde'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Step By Step' by Joe Simon and a different song with the same title by Whitney Houston.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a track from a UK artist's biggest selling album in America. Tonight, we hear songs from LPs by The Yardbirds and Gary Numan. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by The Jackson 5 and Smokey Robinson.

Our R&B number ones are from 1998 and now by Monica and Tyrese. We hear Country number ones from 1952 and this week by Hank Williams and Sam Hunt. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by The Police and Fall Out Boy. The number one album for a second week is 'Kill The Lights' by country singer Luke Bryan and the best-selling digital song for a third week is 'Can't Feel My Face' by The Weeknd.
