Ronnie is in disbelief when she finds out what Roxy has been up to while she has been in prison, and she quickly realises they will not be moving away together as planned.

Forcing Ronnie to look at Tommy’s picture, Kat realises she hasn’t forgiven her. Ronnie insists she and Roxy are moving to Ibiza. But when Roxy hangs up on Ronnie as Alfie approaches and Ronnie shocked to find out from Kat that Roxy and Alfie are together and engaged. Ronnie understands, stating that Roxy blocks anything out that stops the world making sense, mentioning Roxy not believing her about Archie; Kat emphasises. With £42 to her name and no one to help, Kat asks Ronnie to stay with her for the night. In Walford, Roxy confides in Alfie that she feels like a coward but didn’t want to be sucked in if she met Ronnie. Arriving back, Ronnie’s surprised that Kat lives with Michael, remarking she’s not scared of him; he states he’s a changed man. When she goes to see Jack, he insists no-one wants her there, not even her sister and shuts the door.

Carl claims to Phil he feels bad and Phil admits he doesn’t remember much. Carl leaves and Shirley wonders how he got off so lightly; Phil attributes it to Carl’s seatbelt; he thought he was wearing his too but wasn’t. Outside Phil’s room Shirley gets emotional. She tells a sleeping Phil that she stole his money but that even after everything she can’t enjoy seeing him suffer. Phil hears, takes her hand and tells her to keep the money; she deserves happiness.

With Kirsty knowing he’s the witness, Ian locks himself, Abi and Denise inside the restaurant as Kirsty bangs on the door. Jack, Lauren and Lucy arrive as Ian opens the door. Ian’s protests make Jack doubt Max’s innocence, but Kirsty’s certain he’s lying. Abi quits, Lucy steps in, telling Ian she’s proud of him.

Lauren returns from counselling to hear from Sadie that Max was paying her wages and she can’t afford to keep her on anymore. Gutted; Lauren admits to Abi at times she really wants to drink again.

Carl tells Dexter he’s bringing some cars to the Arches to check and fix number plates to them. Dexter’s swayed when Carl offers a lot of money.
