terrors of the Spanish Civil War. Eddie Butler looks at how over 200 were accommodated at colonies in Caerleon, Swansea, Brechfa and Old Colwyn, and how they were warmly welcomed by Welsh people who considered that Welsh miners and the Basques were fighting the same enemy - fascism.
