Documenting the work South Uist priest, Fr Colin MacInnes, has undertaken with the poor people of Quito, Ecuador since 1984. In 20 years, Fr Colin has helped establish a hospital, banks, schools, churches, roads and running water for the 100,000 inhabitants of the Comite del Pueblo, a hillside shantytown on the outskirts of the city. The programme is a close examination of one man's humanity and documents the daily uphill struggle that informs and shapes the life of Father Colin MacInnes in Ecuador.
