Hiding the Truth: I Can't Read

In a special one-off documentary to tie in with World Book Day, Kristian Digby looks at the subject of literacy levels in Britain today, from a very personal perspective.

A special programme marking World Book Day, in which television presenter Kristian Digby takes us on a journey through the minefield of literacy problems encountered by millions of people in Britain today.

Kristian revisits his own past, exploring his childhood growing up in Devon as a young dyslexic who didn’t discover the joy of reading until he was an adult. He also meets a number of adults who struggle through everyday life because of their underdeveloped skills in reading, and attempts to find them the book that will ignite a passion for reading and start them on a new road of discovery. But with reading problems being such a sensitive subject for many people, will he succeed?
