Weatherman Walking is produced by ±«Óãtv Studios for broadcast, use and exploitation by the ±«Óãtv. We are responsible for handling personal information you provide, including your contribution, in accordance with data protection law.
What information we collect and how we use it?
±«Óãtv Studios will collect and process your name, contact number & email address and the information about the walk you are sharing with us via the video footage. We will use this information to contact you if we are interested in finding out more about your walk before any footage is broadcast.
±«Óãtv Studios relies on its legitimate interests as a media organisation to process your personal information. We will not process your personal information where your rights override our interests.
Retaining your personal information
If your video footage is selected to be part of the programme, ±«Óãtv Studios may retain your video footage in perpetuity. We will retain your contact details for up to 7 years in line with our retention schedule. Unless you advise us otherwise, we may also store your details so we can contact you about contributing to future series or other ±«Óãtv Studios programmes.
If you are not selected to appear on the Programme, and you have indicated that you do not wish for us to retain your details, we will delete your data no later than 12 months from the end of the contributor selection process.
Sharing your information
Your personal information will generally be restricted to relevant members of the Weatherman Walking production team and crew, as well as the programme’s third party presenters (where relevant). Where necessary, we may also share information with other ±«Óãtv Studios staff and the ±«Óãtv, with our professional advisors, and from time to time with other programmes that may have an interest in your contribution.
