Once again ±«Óãtv Radio 5 Live will have comprehensive coverage of the World Cup with over 250 hours of programming across the 2010 tournament.

As well as extensive live match commentary across 5 Live and its sister station, 5 Live Sports Extra, led by Chief Football Correspondent Mike Ingham and Alan Green, there are a host of special programmes coming live from South Africa, plus news and reports throughout the day and night on all the latest events and stories from the tournament to bring all the sights, sounds, news and views from the first ever World Cup finals to be held in Africa.

Breakfast show presenter Nicky Campbell will be out in South Africa for the duration of England's progress at the World Cup, following the team around their various match venues, from Rustenburg to Cape Town and on to Port Elizabeth – and hopefully much further.

While Shelagh Fogarty rounds up the rest of the day's news in the London studio, Nicky will host from a variety of locations to bring all the colour and atmosphere of the world's biggest tournament. As well as hearing from football fans from England and across the globe, he'll be talking to local people to get their take on the World Cup, and looking at the degree to which South Africa has changed since Apartheid.

Danny Baker presents his show, "a pirate ship moored off the coast of football", twice a week during the tournament, on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings, with his unique take on proceedings.

Comedian and football fan Alan Davies presents Armchair World Cup, six live, fan-based programmes that take a sideways look at the World Cup and identify its most amusing moments. Joining Alan on the show are fellow comedian Ian Stone and DJ Tayo, who supports Nigeria and England.

Mark Pougatch and Mark Chapman present World Cup 5 Live Sport throughout the tournament from South Africa, with live commentary and the definitive guide to the World Cup.

The 606 phone-in will give fans the chance to vent their views and opinions on all the action from South Africa to Alan Green, immediately after the final whistle in each of England's matches.

And there will be news, stories and reports from the tournament across all 5 Live's daily programming. Mike Ingham and Ian Dennis will be reporting daily from the England camp in Rustenburg with all the latest news, key interviews, analysis and reactions.

Colin Paterson is travelling aross South Africa on the ±«Óãtv Bus, searching out stories to give a flavour of this amazing country. From visiting social projects to locations as diverse as townships, elephant parks, diamond mines and Boer War battlegrounds, he'll be assessing the effect the World Cup is having on the country and reflecting on the culture and history of the nation – as well as unearthing the fun and quirky stories that happen at such an event.

And for England's matches in the World Cup, listeners will be in great company, with former England manager and player respectively, Graham Taylor and Chris Waddle, providing expert analysis and comment on the games.
