Jack wants to be a role model for the children living in his area. He wants to prove that no matter how hard someone's life is they can have opportunities – just like his trip to Scorpion Island. He feels that he'll be a good team leader who will encourage people to do their best.

She is going to push herself to the limits but she is worried that she may struggle being away from her family. She thinks she can lead her team to victory because of her strength and make people smile along the way.

Lachlan thinks that Scorpion Island is nowhere near as "convenient" as normal life and it will be a big shock to the system. Lachlan wants people to sit down face to face if there are any conflicts and tell them not to go behind people's backs and just "make friends again, and get it sorted".

Alex says he's terrible at most things (he is wrong!). He reckons that he is a terrible climber and he is dreading having to take part in climbing challenges. BUT Alex is good at using his brain. Alex is incredibly patient and endlessly good humoured – a real trooper. You'll never hear him moan.

She normally takes control of a situation but she is hoping that she'll learn how to be a real team player during her time on Scorpion Island.
