I cannot agree with all that Emma says about being a young person and Christian in Norfolk.

While agreeing that while at college and university you are surrounded by "like minded" people however, life in the "real world" and Christian circles in particular is quite a different matter.

The average congregation here in Norfolk tends to be more mature in age however, they do enjoy seeing young people joining them for worship Sunday by Sunday, and are encouraged by the enthusiasm which youth brings.

Norfolk is rural, and as such we are limited by public transport and geographical location. To be young and a Christian is a difficult thing, and we must never miss the opportunities which our area offers young people.

I organise the Norwich Taize Group which meets monthly within Norwich, and just like Taize in France, it is an opportunity for young Christians of all ages to meet and share together (from the teens to 80s). I am probably one of the youngest people in my local church (38 yrs!) by a big age gap.

I have worshipped throughout my life, and have always been able to worship with young people either by age or those "in heart".
