Coast Walk: Maritime Merseyside

Liverpool, once one of the richest cities in England, has a captivating past. Discover the role the city played in the slave trade, its involvement in WW2 and how it became home to thousands immigrants, including visitors beneath the water surface.

Advice: The whole walk is on pavement and tarmac and is accessible for wheelchair and parents with buggies.

Start: The walk starts at the Merseyside Maritime Museum which is situated in Albert Dock. Paradise Street Bus Station and James Street rail station are a short walk away.
More info: This is a two mile circular route and between the ten stages you can enjoy an interactive experience through your mobile phone as characters from the past share their tales of Liverpool's history with you.
