Information

6.15pm, Barbirolli Room

Join one of our First Violinists, Julian Gregory, as he introduces the music in the evening's concert.

He will be joined by other string players from the ±«Óãtv Philharmonic to make up a string quartet.

Together they will demonstrate themes and techniques from the three pieces in the programme:

-November Woods by Arnold Bax
-Violin Concerto by William Walton
-Symphony No.4 by Ralph Vaughan Williams

You will be able to ask questions about the music or about any aspect of life in an orchestra!

Stay and hear all three works performed in full in the concert at 7.30pm

=======
Journey Through Music concerts feature music that is particularly accessible for children. They include pre-concert events and programme notes written specially for a younger audience.

The pre-concert events are a great opportunity for the entire family to get to know the music. Enjoy demonstrations from ±«Óãtv Philharmonic players, ask questions and you may even get to make some music yourselves.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Barbirolli Room at 6.15pm. Please be prompt, seats are first come first served. This session is recommended for ages 8 and above although younger children in family groups are welcome.

Free to concert ticket holders - you do not need an additional ticket.
