Can't Stop Now

Azealia Banks hit the big time late last year when her sensational 212 was released to much acclaim, being shared across loads of blogs and immediately stuck on repeat. Her speedy lyrics along with a catchy Lazy Jay sample shot her to the top of the NME Cool List, and further praise beckoned when she came a coveted third place in the ±«Óãtv's Sound of 2012.

Fame has never been far from this self-styled young rapunzel, especially after attending the prestigious LaGuardia High School which counts Kelis and Nicki Minaj amongst its alumni. Initially recording under the Miss Bank$ moniker, she worked with Diplo on the Ladytron-sampling track Seventeen and later Richard Russell whilst signed to XL Recordings. After leaving XL, she's been collaborating with Adele's producer Paul Epworth on her eagerly awaited debut album.

Not only charming the music scene, this Harlem-born rapper has attracted attention from the fashion elite, with Lady Gaga's stylist Nicola Formichetti apparently directing her next video and her track Bambi being used to soundtrack the Mugler show at Paris Fashion Week.

Now on everyone's radar, Miss Banks is showing no sign of being a wallflower. Her addictive hooks and sparring lyrics are sure to shock and enthral the masses at Hackney in June.
