Opening the ±«Óãtv Philharmonic’s Bridgewater Hall season, John Wilson conducts a sweeping selection of music from between the wars. We hear Dmitry Kabalevsky’s fizzing operatic overture, and Prokofiev’s fiery Third Piano Concerto - a showcase for virtuoso pianists and Alexander Gavrylyuk has made it a speciality.
