Iyare is responsible for supporting scripted commissioning teams and independent suppliers to drive change and has a particular focus on the ±«Óãtv’s 20% diversity target and commitment to £100m for diverse programming. He is perhaps best known as a radio presenter and producer for shows on ±«Óãtv 1Xtra, 6Music and Radio 2. Away from the ±«Óãtv, Iyare cofounded S.O.U.L. an organisation that advocates for Black practitioners in British film and television and he is the director of the annual Black British film festival S.O.U.L. Fest.
Michelle is a Creative Diversity Partner in Content & Commissioning for Unscripted, supporting ±«Óãtv commissioners and indie suppliers in driving change across the industry. Part of her focus is to help indies deliver on the ±«Óãtv’s 20% diversity target and the current £100m commitment to commissioning diverse content. During her broadcasting career, Michelle has produced numerous TV and Radio programmes across a range of genres and prior to re-joining the ±«Óãtv in 2020, was a Talent Executive for both ITV and ±«Óãtv.
Kay is Creative Diversity Partner for Content supporting disability. Kay has been at the ±«Óãtv since 2012 and came through the ±«Óãtv’s Extend Scheme. She has worked in a range of departments from Children’s, Education, Sport, 5Live and Design + Engineering. She was also a staff network co-chair for ±«Óãtv Ability. She is known writer around her disability ‘Living with Neurofibromatosis & Scoliosis’ and was a previous presenter for UK Health Radio.
Nichola is responsible for on and off screen portrayal for deaf, disabled and neurodivergent talent. Nichola works closely with commissioning teams and producers to ensure positive and authentic representation on screen whilst creating inclusive productions for off screen deaf, disabled and neurodivergent talent. Nichola also ensures the delivery of Elevate, and our disability commitments pan content. Nichola works closely with her counterparts across the industry to deliver on the TV Access Project to create and sustain a more inclusive and accessible culture change across the production industry.
