Svan's appointment with destiny

DREIEICH-OFFENTHAL - OK, so the part has arrived.
There was real tension in Svan this morning when I called the garage to find out whether it had turned up.
The mechanic, who is now introducing himself by his nickname, swiftly put me on hold for ages and came back saying that he'd phone back.
The wait seemed to last forever but eventually he delivered the good news and sounded a little bemused when I started calling him my best friend.
While all this was going on Ricco was busy sorting himself out with two laps around the this evening.
But I guess it all depends on the mechanic successfully installing the new part and Svan starting so we can drive there...

Good to hear you are up and running once more...do either of you speak German? is there any talk in Germany about the insults put to Beckham and his family or is it just our jolly red topped papers making a meal of it? Any chance of gettin a few Fletch and Ricco T-shirts sent this way?

Just what makes Svan less butch than other motor homes?
We have already noticed with the immobilser issues the tendency to tantrums but are there other signs?
Are the seats upholstered in sparkling lurex or is there more of a predeliction to leather?
Is their a mincing roll to his wheels as you drive?
What signs do we have of this campness?
I think we should know.
