Patrik's second homecoming

JUST ARRIVED IN MUNICH - It’s a strange return to Munich for Patrik Andersson, the Swedish giant who helped Bayern win the Champions League final in 2001.
On his first visit to the city since he left the club after that triumph, I asked him if he’s fondly remembered here. “I hope so, because I decided the championship for Bayern,” he said, in reference to his last minute equaliser in the final Bundesliga match in the same season.
But he concedes the Swedes won’t be so popular if they dump the Germans out.
“It’s a pity, this game is too early,” he says. “It’s important to see the hosts stay in the tournament.”
Does that mean he’s tipping his home country to win this afternoon?
“It’s hard to say Sweden – they haven’t played their best yet,” he says. But he then does just that, predicting they’ll beat Germany on penalties. “That’s how we went out against Holland in Portugal – this time it’s our turn.”
To lift the cup, though, he backs Argentina.

I've backed Argentina since before the tournament - they have been superb in the build-up, have a great manager in Pekerman and their squad is so strong - take a look at Tevez and Messi left on the bench!
