Rain hasn't dampened spirits!

Derek Brockway Derek Brockway | 15:38 UK time, Tuesday, 21 July 2009

Day two of the Royal Welsh Show and as expected it was a bit wet and windy.

I was looking forward to seeing a World War Two Lancaster fly over but unfortunately the cloud base was too low :(
Never mind there's always next year and despite the rain, people kept their spirits up and it brightened up later with sunshine to end the day.

Once again, I met some lovely people including Elwen and Emma from Meat Promotions Wales in the Food Hall who cooked up some tasty Welsh lamb.

I also bumped into three friends from Carmarthen who are camping in the Young People's Village - rather them than me...

I think I'll stick to my warm and comfy B & B in Llanwrtyd Wells :)

I've also met a few farmers such as Gwyn Williams from Brecon. He's done the silage but is now desperate for at least 5 days of dry weather so here can cut hay!

Unfortunately, there's no sign of prolonged dry weather on the horizon Gwyn...

Showers are expected over the next few days but the weekend looks much drier.

Take it easy

Derek
