Two Newsround young reporters interviewed Gordon Brown last week, and on our ±«Óãtv One programme, we carried out a text vote, which resulted in three-quarters of those who voted deciding they didn't want him as prime minister.

Just over 1,500 people voted. A small majority, 815, said YES, they did want him as prime minister. Slightly fewer, 671, said NO, they didn't.

I think the most interesting thing this reveals is not the results, but the extent of mobile phone ownership in your target audience of 7-11 year olds.
Either that or your audience is different.
Or, more cynically, some kind of tory PR company was watching.
Do a survey of kids now, see how they vote and what issues concern them. Then, get back to them when they are of voting age. Now that would be a poll I would like to read.
yes i think its fairly irrelevant what kids think, because what kids think isn't important.
They don't know anything about anything and they will totally change there views by the time they are of voting age. So if Cameron wants to woo the children of the UK he's not going to get anywhere.
As for Gordan Brown well i think the labour party are insane if they think he will win them an election, he has no charisma, he's scottish (major factor) and he comes across as slimy and untrustworthy.
Even if GB had the best policies in the world he won't get the votes.

What Childreen think is extremely important! yes they may not vote for one, two or three elections, but the ideals and thoughts they gain as chidren are very often carried through to adulthood, why do you think religious exremeists target children, because they are impressionable and if you target them enough they will grow up preaching those views. Children need to be shown how to develop thier own ideas and oppinions. What harm does it do to give children the opportunity to see and hear politicians they get to have a small insight into the benefits of the democratic process. They also feel involved and part of society. If you leave children out then they start to rebel and one day those rebelious people will be ruling you....
