  • Comment number 1.

Just wanted to say that I support everything Hugh Grant said to PM's privacy commssion. (I am no relation) The difficulty would be drafting the legislation. Ha sanybody got any good ideas?

  • Comment number 2.

J Grant: I mostly agree, with a few caveats. There is a case where someone's private actions may be deemed in the Public Interest. An example would be where a persons' fame/celebrity comes from expousing or promoting certain stand or point of view (such as the overall sanctity of marriage, the nuclear family, etc), whilst in their private life they practice the complete opposite (serial adultary would be the corollaly). How many times have we seen politicians or religious leaders making pronouncements about things like this, only for them to be shown up as hypocites?

  • Comment number 3.

The last comment I posted was 12hours ago and it is still posting!!!
    Perhaps a form of censorship?
When will we know how many gaggs to preserve the establishment of the professions and the civil service.

  • Comment number 4.

He's looking a bit flushed there, in contrast to the commentary about him putting his shades back on and cooly gliding out of the office!

  • Comment number 5.

Would it be possible for someone from PM to ask Aung San Suu Kyi, after the Tueday lecture which she would have preferred...... 15 years house arrest or 30 years forbidden to communicate?
