I'm a journalist on , and spend most of my time doing and tennis, writing features on various other sports and blogging from glamorous far-flung places like Cardiff, Bologne and Dun Laoghaire ferry terminal.

Last summer I blogged my way round the rugby World Cup in a badly-packed campervan with glamourpuss colleague Ben Dirs, doing all the driving (4,500 miles) all the cooking (more pasta, Ben?) and all the bad accents in our regular .

This summer I'll be doing a similar job from , albeit without a campervan, apron or Dirs. I'm particularly looking forward to the athletics, cycling and swimming, not to mention the , as my own sporting endeavours come mainly in those sports.

My three favourite Olympians of all time are , and , although I often waste hours wondering how different life would have been if had been born English.

I joined the ±«Óãtv in 2000, about the same time as a load of other print journos also jumped off their sinking ships, and have been fortunate to cover athletics World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth Games in that time.

Before that I was a features writer on Total Sport magazine (it closed through lack of sales) and a writer on the seldom-remembered Sported (terrible name, lovely magazine) which also closed because of low sales. Expect to see the ±«Óãtv close through lack of sales before the year is out.

Tom Fordyce is a ±«Óãtv Sport journalist focusing on athletics and triathlon. Our should answer any questions you have. If they don't, you can .
