How does a community begin to make sense of oppression at the hands of their enemies when they have always understood themselves as God's chosen people? In the next in our series introducing the Old Testament, we turn to the "wisdom" literature of the Book of Lamentations, and the poetry of the Psalms and Song of Songs.
