Join Pip and Declan as they talk about what to do in case of a fire and who might come to help you.

Do you know what sound a fire engine makes? That’s right! When you hear that noise, it means that firemen and women are on their way to help someone. They use that loud siren to let other drivers know that it is an emergency and they need to get there as quickly as possible.

Being a fire fighter is a very important job. They are specially trained to put out fires and have all the proper equipment to help them stay safe. What sort of things might they use to help them put out a fire? How do they use them?

Fire is dangerous, no matter how big or small it is. So, remember Pip’s advice: if you hear an alarm or spot a fire, tell an adult straight away. If it is an emergency, phone 999 and ask for the fire brigade to come and help.
