Presenter Rodd has an exciting time at his new job in the office where his auntie works, but he did feel nervous as it was a large and confusing place. His boss has asked him to design some posters which will help children who might feel the same way when they are starting in a new school. Throughout this clip, read out the dialogue written on the screen during the sketch as though actually talking with Rodd. There is an opportunity to pause the clip and discuss ideas for Rodd with students. The ideas provided should be summarised and organised into three categories to give to Rodd, these should be: exploring school, meeting new friends and eating healthily. After watching this clip students could use all of their ideas to design their own starting school top tip posters. Where possible, these could be taken to the school nursery where the students could present and display their posters.
