Landscapes
Landscape painting can focus on natural scenery such as mountains, forests, sea or sky, or a built environment such as a city street or building.
If painting outdoors, it’s helpful to paint quickly because of weather, light or other conditions. Keeping equipment to a minimum is also sensible.
A A small rectangular window that can be held up in front of a view to try and capture a composition. The window could be clear, or it could have a square grid drawn over it can help with Arrangement of different elements within an artwork or design.. Use a sketchbook or watercolour pad to create quick landscape studies or sketches.
Watercolour pencils and paints are convenient for working outdoors as they are small and dry quickly. Take photos in order to capture the scene for reference later.
