There are two main types of crime: crimes against people and crimes against property. Crimes include vandalism, car theft, burglary, bike theft and violence.

Crimes against people include: -

Crimes against property
Crimes against property include the following exclusive groups: -
- vandalism, including motor vehicle and property vandalism
- motor vehicle theft-related incidents
- housebreaking
- other household thefts including bicycle theft
- personal theft excluding robbery
Are all crimes the same?
Crimes against people are considered as more serious types of crime as they usually involve violence or threats of violence.
