Future tense and irregular stems
All verbs use the same endings but for some verbs you add the endings on to an irregular form. Here are some of the most common irregular stems:

decir (to say, to tell) → dir-
hacer (to make, to do) → har-
poder (to be able to) → podr-
poner (to put) → pondr-
querer (to want) → querr-
saber (to know) → sabr-
salir (to leave, to go out) → saldr-
tener (to have) → tendr-
venir (to come) → vendr-
- Saldré a las tres (I will go out at three).
- Tendremos muchos regalos (We will have lots of presents).
- ¿Vendrás a la fiesta? (Will you come to the party?)
