The Blue Peter Book Club is all about sharing the joy of reading!

Each month, they'll talk about a different book and find out your thoughts on it too!

Here on Bitesize you'll find a collection of guides featuring each book. They'll help you learn more and develop your reading and writing skills.

What books are in the book club?

The first six books announced for the Blue Peter Book Club are:

How do you earn the book badge?

Blue Peter reading badge designed by Quentin Blake.

The book badge was designed by the illustrator Sir Quentin Blake who is famous for bringing to life many Roald Dahl characters, such as Matilda, the BFG and The Twits.

To earn your badge, you will need to complete the following steps.

  1. Tell Blue Peter about a book you have read and what you think about it. Maybe you liked the characters, or perhaps you enjoyed going on exciting adventures in faraway places.

  2. Create a drawing, painting or digital artwork of either a character, or scene from the book.

  3. Let Blue Peter know what other books and authors you have enjoyed reading and why.
