Making sense of statistics - Trust's conclusions on follow-up impartiality report

Today, the Trust publishes an update from the ±«Óătv Executive on its use of statistics in journalism, following a report commissioned by the Trust.

In August 2016, the Trust published its seventh impartiality review on the subject of the . The review was led by an independent panel chaired by Dame Jil Matheson.

The review included a number of recommendations and Trustees asked the Executive for an update in December 2016 (later delayed to February 2017) to inform them of the action that had been taken, the progress that was being made and the impact it was having on ±«Óătv output.

Today, the Executive have published which expands on the existing Editorial Guideline on Reporting Statistics and Risk.
