The Battle for Tripoli

Colonel Gaddafi has lost his grip on much of the country but he still seems to be in control in Tripoli. Opposition leaders are calling for major protests in the capital today, and residents say mercenaries are moving in for the final battle.

    Gadaffi is the perfect example of the revolutionary strongman Orwell tried to warn us about in Animal Farm. Another great book, Road To Serfdom, decribes how, and what happens when a despot takes charge of a revolutionary cause.
