Most surprising thing about being a dad?

"The rapid speed kids grow! My child needs to slow down as I miss the baby stage. I never got to fully appreciate it, as all I wanted him to do was walk and talk. Also the random things he’s started saying: the other day he told me he wants to be a vegetarian, I had no idea he knew what a vegetarian is."

Greatest piece of dad advice you’ve been given?

"Not to allow my baby to be in other people's arms too much. In the beginning, when everyone visits all they do is pass your baby around and they get comfortable sleeping with the warmth of people. Then when it’s time to put them in their own bed, it’s a nightmare as they’re not used to it."

Describe fatherhood in three words?

"Unconditional, nurture, bond."

One thing you didn’t think you’d do as a dad (but now do)?

"I actually do have a motorbike that's sat outside with only 900 miles on it that I no longer ride. I value my life too much for my son's sake."

Best skill you’ve developed as a dad?

"To read between the lines. If Kaylan says: 'Daddy can you come and play with me?' that could mean 'I’ve had a long day, I just want some attention'. He may not always know how to voice exactly what he wants to say."

Which TV/movie dad are you?

"I would say I’m like Eddie Murphy in Daddy Day Care! I’m a fun dad."
