Lorin:
Thought Breck was safe in his bedroom where I could hear what he was saying, see what he was doing, but I didn't realise, you know, until too late, how dangerous it was. And I wanted to just mention about grooming, because Breck would have never known he was being groomed, even though you know, we did talk about things like that at home, because it's so subtle, and it's not always sexual. It can sometimes just be a lot of compliments, a lot of attention, and Breck was actual getting some online games gifted to him. But it was mostly the attention, and the promise of something, and I think that's what I really want, you know, the message to get through, that to law enforcement agencies, and to professionals, parents, and children themselves, grooming isn't overtly sexual. You know, you start to trust people online but you know, we don't actually know who they are, but they don't know who we are either, so what is in it for them? And you have to, you know, think that maybe you know, they have some underlying motive.

Lorin:
Being a local you would have heard about it, Breck was murdered by an online predator, and I want to speak to you guys sort of with Breck's voice. It might be one I a million, but you don't ever wanna be that one, because there's nothing worse than being that one. I mean Breck's case is an extreme example, so you know, even if you you know, sort of put that in the back of your mind, there's a lot of other people that will hurt you in other ways. Whether it's you know, hacking into your accounts and embarrassing you, there's other elements and other ways that you can be hurt.I

Lorin:
Actually didn't know what to do. I was talking to Breck, he talked to me, so we had communication, I just didn't know what I needed to do to make sure he was safe. I decided in the end that I had to call the police, that I had done everything else. I had tried to talk to him, I wasn't getting through, he didn't understand the dangers that I could see.

Tom:
I suppose it was a sense of like, "Oh, I did feel a bit stupid, you know, because by the end of it realized you know, how he'd been very cleverly grooming other people, including me. These campaigns in school you see like all the time, like stranger danger, but it wasn't really like anything you see at school before. And that's I think why maybe we all sort of fell into it, into the trap.

Sully:
Breck's death's definitely made me a bit more wary of how I act online. 'Cause people have these assemblies in school all the time, "You must be careful about what you put out online," and you think, "Oh, you know, we've heard all of that before, we will." But you don't know how much of you is online, and I think that's probably the scariest thought.

Cliff Pell:
It was scary, and to think that a young man of that age would have those sort of feelings, and be able to be controlling in that way, I found that very difficult, very difficult.

Liam:
You've just got to notice the signals, there were clear signals that Lewis was letting out that were dangerous, we picked up on them, a lot of us did. And you just need to make sure that you're picking up on them.
