FA Cup: Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Doncaster Rovers highlights

League One Doncaster Rovers reached the fourth round of the FA Cup as they upset Championship side Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The visitors led before the break when Richards found the net with an impressive low strike from long range.

Blackburn fought back in the second half and almost levelled when Bradley Dack shot wide.

Adam Armstrong saw his late shot blocked and John Buckley fired wide soon after as Doncaster held on.

The hosts had beaten Doncaster earlier this season in the EFL Cup, but could not repeat the feat second time around.

Doncaster had been knocked out of the competition in nine of their past 10 FA Cup ties by higher league opposition but they held on here to improve that record.

Blackburn should have been level after the break when Tom Anderson hit the woodwork trying to clear a corner from the hosts and Dack then fired wide.

Tony Mowbray's side continued their poor run in the competition in recent years, with Blackburn last reaching the fourth round in the 2016-17 season.
