Barnsley have signed Celtic striker Jack Aitchison on a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old scored once in three appearances for the Scottish Premiership title-holders.

He spent last season on loan in League Two with Forest Green and is expected to be loaned to a club in that same division imminently.

Meanwhile, midfielder Marcel Ritzmaier has joined Rapid Vienna on loan and full-back Killian Ludewig has been recalled from his loan by RB Salzburg.

Ritzmaier, 27, was boss Gerhard Struber's first signing as Tykes manager in January 2020 and has made 22 appearances for the Championship side.

Ludewig, 20, also ended last season at Oakwell and played a total of 25 times. He has joined struggling Bundesliga side Schalke on a season-long loan deal.
