The length of Jacob Brown's deal with Stoke has not been disclosed
Stoke City have signed forward Jacob Brown from Championship rivals Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old played 82 games and scored 12 goals for the Tykes after making his first-team in October 2016.
He is Michael O'Neill's fifth summer signing for Stoke, following the arrival of John Mikel Obi, Morgan Fox, Steven Fletcher and James Chester.
"Jacob is a player with a great deal of potential," ex-Northern Ireland manager O'Neill told the club website.
"He has been a consistent performer for Barnsley and he will certainly bring a different dimension to our squad."
Barnsley said the decision to sell Brown was "made reluctantly", but added that money received upfront "will be immediately reinvested into the team".
Brown's arrival was followed by confirmation that Nigeria midfielder Peter Etebo had completed a season-long loan move to Turkish side Galatasaray.
Meanwhile, Stoke have appointed John Coates as joint-chairman alongside his father Peter Coates on the club's board.
