Scotland gained revenge over the United States with a four-wicket win in the Cricket World Cup League 2 in Dubai.

The Scots were beaten by 35 runs on Monday but a valuable 62 from Calum MacLeod and an unbroken stand of 58 from Safyaan Sharif and Josh Davey guided them to their target of 246 with seven balls to spare.

Earlier, Xavier Marshall (50) and Steven Taylor (56) hit half-centuries.

The US made 245-9, with left-arm spinner Mark Watt claiming 3-33.

When MacLeod fell Scotland were teetering on 188-6 in the 41st over, but bowlers Davey and Sharif kept cool heads to both reach 26 not out.

The Scots, who meet United Arab Emirates on Sunday, take two points from the match to sit three points behind the US in the overall standings, having played a game less.
