Can I play radio programmes in the classroom?

Teachers are welcome to play ±«Óãtv radio programmes to their classes. The playing or performing of copyright works, including sound recordings, in the course of the activities of educational establishments do not infringe copyright.

However, the ±«Óãtv's agreements with rights holders prevent us from authorising copies of radio programme streams being made for this purpose.

We recommend you check the availability of the programme you wish to use in advance as it may not be available for long. You'll find more information about this in our How long are programmes available for? page.
