Joshua Weilerstein with the ±«Óătv Philharmonic

Random draw open

Joshua Weilerstein conducts the ±«Óătv Philharmonic Orchestra today at its MediaCityUK studio, for a recording of two moving, heartfelt works.

For Johannes Brahms, composing music was a quest to balance head and heart. The composer’s final symphony, No.4, is the most exquisite example of that mission, a piece as radiant as poetry and as perfect as a mathematical equation.

Before it, a beautiful piece by pianist and composer Gideon Klein. Partita for Strings is rich with references to the folk music of his native Moravia.
