The ±«Óătv will collect and process the personal data that you have provided to us about yourself to select audience members for the program.Ěý

We will share your personal data with “Full House” who will manage the selection process and contact the chosen audience members directly.

Who is the Data Controller?

The ±«Óătv is The ±«Óătv is the “data controller” of your personal data. Full House is acting as the ±«Óătv’s data processor. This means that the ±«Óătv decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the ±«Óătv has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.

The legal basis on which the ±«Óătv processes your personal data is the performance of its public task. The ±«Óătv’s role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates and entertains, and increases audience interaction and participation with our journalistic, artistic and literary material.

We are permitted to use this legal basis because the ±«Óătv’s Royal Charter requires us to act in the public interest and to provide impartial news and information to help people understand and engage with the world around them: the ±«Óătv should provide duly accurate and impartial news, current affairs and factual programming to build people’s understanding of all parts of the United Kingdom and of the wider world.

Sharing your personal data

The ±«Óătv works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. Full House will manage the audience selection process on our behalf. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of the ±«Óătv and not independently of the ±«Óătv.

We may share personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.

Retaining your personal data

The ±«Óătv and Full House will retain your personal for twelve (12) months, after which it will be deleted.
