If you would like to be part of our growing database of potential contributors, helping ±«Óătv teams feature more diverse voices in their content, please complete and submit the form below.

At 50:50 we collate your information and make it available to ±«Óătv production teams. It will be up to those teams to decide whether to contact you, so the information you provide below is important. ±«Óătv content-makers will do their own due diligence when they get in touch as 50:50 does not recommend experts or contributors, so being included on this database is not an endorsement.

50:50 Contributors Database privacy notice

This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal information about you that you have provided in accordance with data protection law. The personal information is your name and contact details and gender. We are also inviting you to provide your ethnicity and whether you have a disability which is known as special category data. The ±«Óătv will hold your personal data securely in a database of experts and contributors that is available internally to be consulted when selecting contributors for ±«Óătv content. There is no guarantee that you will be contacted or asked to appear in ±«Óătv content.

The ±«Óătv is the ‘data controller’ of your personal information. This means that the ±«Óătv decides what your information is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. The ±«Óătv will rely on your explicit consent to collect and use this information for the purpose of selecting contributors for ±«Óătv content, and you are asked to tick the consent box when completing this form before submitting your information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at 5050project@bbc.co.uk. The ±«Óătv may also share information on the database with independent production companies who are making content for the ±«Óătv. We use other companies to help us deliver the database and may ask them to process information about you for us.

The ±«Óătv will retain your information for three years. It will then be reviewed to check accuracy and whether you still wish to remain on the database. If you would like the ±«Óătv to delete your data, or would like to amend or update your personal data, please contact us at 5050project@bbc.co.uk
