Nowadays HD is the norm for a lot of people and ±«Óãtv R&D have many projects concerned with ultra-high definition content, making sure that the ±«Óãtv is ready for this next evolution in image quality.

Typically our work focusses on the technologies needed to capture ultra-high definition images and deliver them to audiences as well as how to optimise UHD content to get the most out of these high quality images.

Our work on a new radio camera that allows UHD pictures to be has the capacity to significantly reduce the cost of news and sports coverage. 

Meanwhile, in helping to set we are aiming to make the production of content in this new format as affordable and easy as possible not just for the ±«Óãtv but for other broadcasters and individual film-makers.
