Ìý Breast feeding 27ÌýOctÌý2005 Ìý
The preserve of the middle classes?

The middle classes outstrip other social groups in their embrace of breast feeding. But a recent campaign has been launched to reach out to other communities where the take up of breastfeeding is as low as 6 per cent.

Angela Robson went to see the campaign in action in Denaby and Conisbrough, two former mining communities in South Yorkshire , with one of the lowest breast-feeding rates in the country.

And Jane Little is joined by Dr Fiona Dykes from University of Central LancashireÌýand Michelle Atkin, Breastfeeding support co-ordinator in Blackburn and Darwen.
