Ìý Gymnastics Thursday 7 February 2002 Ìý
Gymnastics is experiencing something of a renaissance. It is the first event at the 2002 Commonwealth Games to be sold out. The British team are fairing particularly well with every member qualifying for the Olympics in Sydney - the first time this has happened.

But why are back flips and handstands pulling in the crowds more than ever before? Thanks to Olga Korbut, women's gymnastics has always been more popular than men's. But should we learn from past mistakes and take care not to put excessive pressure on school age girls?
Jenni talks to former gymnast Vera Atkinson and Brian Stocks, President of British Gymnastics.
